[2008 – 2016] Together we have laughed, cried, hoped and sighed. We have won some and lost some but we have done it together. We have grown and learned, we have met challenges and at times, seems like we have moved mountains. We have become friends and colleagues and have created a strong team. I am so proud of the actions taken and the strides we have made, always… “stronger together”.
With appreciation to our 2016 Nominations Chair Augustine Kelly, who represented our officers as an Apple tough, strong, but also sweet and lovely. Each bringing their own strengths to the team to create a wonderful tapestry threading similar beliefs with a common sense of purpose in order to meet our goals. With that said I would like us to think about sharing our many strengths with our newest members, mentoring and growing strong leaders from within to carry on in the future! I would like hold several mentoring workshops this coming year in order to pass along our knowledge. I will endeavor to update our Committee assignments and to work more outside our regular general membership meetings.
We will enhance our social media presence while at the same time continue to connect utilizing Phone Tree when needed and look for more interesting ways to engage our Membership. I will be calling on our new members to join in this effort so that we can continue our mission of encouraging full participation of women at every level of the Democratic Party structure and supporting and promoting our Rankin County Democratic Party. We will endure, growing even stronger to meet the coming challenges! Please bring your ideas in 2017!
With Warmest Regards,
Thelma H. Lorentz

See photos attached. We have a lot to be proud of and I look forward to continuing this incredible journey together! Many thanks to all of you for making this organization possible!
