We need every Democrat to vote in our Democratic Primary! Polls will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The Democratic candidates for the United States Senate are:
- Congressman Travis Childers
- William Bond Compton, Jr.
- Bill Marcy
- Jonathan Rawl
The Democratic candidates for the 3rd Congressional District are:
- Jim Liljeberg
- Doug Magee
- Dennis Quinn
By now, Rankin County voters should have received an updated voter registration card to help you identify your precinct. If you do not know your precinct, you can look for it HERE or call the Rankin County Circuit Clerk at 601-825-1466.
VOTER ID WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THIS ELECTION!

Acceptable forms of identification to present at your voting precinct on Election Day include:
- A driver’s license
- A photo ID card issued by a branch, department, or entity of the state of Mississippi
- A United States passport
- A government employee ID card
- A firearms license
- A student photo ID issued by an accredited Mississippi university, college, or community/junior college
- A United States military ID
- A tribal photo ID
- Any other photo ID issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the United States government or any State government
- A Mississippi Voter Identification Card
