We will plan for the February 13th precinct caucuses and the March 8th Democratic Party primary.

Democrats caucus at their county voting precincts, sign a statement declaring themselves to be Democrats, and elect delegates and alternates to the county convention based upon a formula giving equal weight to the 2012 presidential and 2015 gubernatorial Democratic vote in the general elections.
No candidate preference is to be declared at the precinct caucus.

Delegates and alternates elected at precinct caucuses convene at the county seat to elect a county Democratic executive committee and to elect delegates and alternates to the Congressional District and State conventions.
Counties are apportioned delegates and alternates based upon a formula giving equal weight to the 2012 presidential and 2015 gubernatorial Democratic vote in the general elections.
No candidate preference is to be declared at the county convention.
The Rankin County Democratic Convention will be held at the Brandon Library on Highway 80.

Delegates and alternates elected at county conventions convene at central locations in each Congressional district to elect fifteen (15) persons to the state Democratic executive committee.
The delegates will then caucus by presidential preference to elect district‐level delegates and alternates to the Democratic National Convention.
The convention will be held at the Agriculture and Forestry Museum in the Forestry Auditorium. Parking is available at the Sports Hall of Fame Museum.
Delegates and alternates from across Mississippi will convene in Jackson to elect five additional members of each congressional district to the state executive committee, elect a national committeewoman and a national committeeman to the Democratic National Committee, and elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention.
