The Federation of Democratic Women invite all Democrats to attend our May Social at Miller’s Restaurant, 2146 Hwy 471, Brandon MS 39047, on Tuesday May 6, at 6:00 PM. We will have a private room, and meals will be ordered off their regular menu.

The Rankin County Democratic Executive Committee will hold its quarterly meeting at Pearl City Hall in the Blue Room.

By now, Rankin County voters should have received an updated voter registration card to help you identify your precinct. If you do not know your precinct, you can look for it HERE or call the Rankin County Circuit Clerk at 601-825-1466.
VOTER ID WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THIS ELECTION!

Acceptable forms of identification to present at your voting precinct on Election Day include:
- A driver’s license
- A photo ID card issued by a branch, department, or entity of the state of Mississippi
- A United States passport
- A government employee ID card
- A firearms license
- A student photo ID issued by an accredited Mississippi university, college, or community/junior college
- A United States military ID
- A tribal photo ID
- Any other photo ID issued by any branch, department, agency or entity of the United States government or any State government
- A Mississippi Voter Identification Card

Please encourage your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and congregation to vote in the Democratic Primary on Tuesday, June 3. Be sure to share this information with everyone you can through social media, emails, and phone calls.

Rankin County Democrats are excited to announce a meet and greet event with our US Senate candidate Travis Childers. Congressman Childers will give some remarks and likely take a few questions. Come out and meet our soon-to-be US Senator!
This free event will be held Thursday, August 14, in Brandon City Hall. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. We will get underway at 6:00 pm. Brandon City Hall is located at 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, MS 39042. It is behind the Shell gas station on Highway 80 near the First Pentecostal Church.
The Mississippi Democratic Party is excited to announce that our 2014 Jefferson-Jackson-Hamer Dinner will take place Friday, August 15, with special guest Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley who has generously agreed to be our keynote speaker. We are thrilled to be joined by Governor O’Malley, who received national attention as a highly effective Mayor of Baltimore before going on to what has been a very successful two terms as Governor of Maryland.

The dinner will take place Friday, August, 15th at the Marriott in downtown Jackson. The dinner will start at 7 P.M. with a reception beforehand starting at 5:30 P.M. There will also a be a reception sponsored by the Young Democrats of Mississippi following the dinner. Tickets are $120 ($60 for Yellow Dog Club Members) and sponsor tables are $1,000.
